How much do you know about Chicano music of the 1960’s? Probably not as much as Ruben Molina. Molina’s is an author whose two books delve deeply into the recordings and cultural impact of the early Chicano sound that fused Latin rhythms with R&B. You may know “Cannibal & Headhunters” but how about “Spider Ray and the Velveteens?” This talk is sure to give you new insight into the musical history of the eastside.
