The Echo Park Film Center will show a special documentary on Thursday, March 13 at 8 pm, “Sleepwalking Through the Mekong.” This film features the local band Dengue Fever, known for a sound that stems from Cambodian rock from the 1960s and 1970s. The film follows the band as they return to Cambodia to share the returned cultural sounds perfected in L.A.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, John Pirozzi and members of the band. No admission price was listed on the website — could be free, but probably around 5 bucks.

The Echo Park Film Center is located at 1200 N. Alvarado Street in Echo Park.
