Dance lessons at the Music Center for only a dollar

Active Arts will be hosting “A Taste of Dance” at the Music Center Plaza on March 29, 2008, from 11am till 4pm.  The 20-minute lessons are only one dollar.

Here is the schedule for the day:

11:00 - 11:20   80’s Warm-Up
11:30 - 1:30     20-minute dance lessons:
     Bachata
     Kahiko (hula)
     Korean Fan Dance 
     Music Video Choreography 
     Scandanavian Dance
1:30 - 3:30    20-minute dance lessons: 
     Congolese 
     Popping and Locking 
     Tinikling 
     Viennese Waltz
     Zapateado 
3:30 - 4:15    Caribbean

No prior ability to boogie down is required. Wear comfordable clothes and be ready to take off your shoes for certain dances (we are not telling which– we are sworn to secrecy).

Tickets go on sale at 10:30 on site. As you might expect, the classes are limited and the place should be packed, so get there early.

 The Music Center Plaza is located at 135 North Grand Ave in Downtown L.A.
